Jean Evelyn West, 78, of Troy passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at Troy Care in Troy. She was born in McNeil, Arkansas on October 15, 1935 to the late King S. and Lillian August (Stewart) Cheatham. She was married to Vernon West and he preceded her in death on November 15, 2004.

Jean is survived by three daughters, Debra Jordan of Troy, Sandra Patton of Troy, and Patricia Patton of Troy; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Shirley Patton of Troy; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
