Jeanett Laufer, 99, of Troy, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born in Troy on August 23, 1915 to the late Fred and Gertrude (Kelly) Yenger. She was married to Robert Earl Laufer, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1991.

Jeanett is survived by three grandchildren, Doug Pittman of Camden, OH, Susan Clark of Carmel, IN, Anne Pittman of San Francisco, CA; and one great granddaughter, Madeline Mae Clark. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Pittman; and three brothers.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy.  Jeanett was a 1934 graduate of Troy High School and was a retired Inspector from St. Regis Paper Co., Troy after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Ladies Elk Social Club, Troy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Visitation hours are Friday, September 5 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
