Jeffrey Wilk Zornes, age 36 of Troy, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025. He was born December 6, 1988 in Dayton to the late Jeffrey and Jeri (Manus) Zornes.

Those left to cherish Jeffrey's memory include his siblings Shaun (Jody) Manus of North Carolina , Adrienne Rudy of Troy, Lauren Rudy of Piqua, Talia Rudy of Troy, Audrey Rudy of New Carlisle, and Jon Zornes of Troy, and; his boyfriend of 15 years Derek Boggs of Troy;  lifelong friends Sheena Ellison of Troy, Shalamyree Honeyman of Troy, and Josh Rindler of Troy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Jeffrey received his Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Edison Community College and was due to receive his Bachelors degree later this year. He was a CPhT for many years and most recently worked at Polaris. He worked as a tutor for Milton Union Schools' Healthy Kids Extended Day Program. Jeffrey's heart was dedicated to helping others and he would often volunteer as a tutor for the Troy Literacy Council. He also loved to sing, much to the chagrin of his friends! Jeffrey was the life of the party with a wicked sense of humor and a shoulder you could lean on for advice and reassurance. He loved to dance and was an avid gamer who couldn't go anywhere without his Mountain Dew. Jeffrey had a kind spirit and was a safe place for his friends and family, and they will all deeply miss him. Jeffrey will also be missed by his dogs who he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00PM-6:00PM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. The family asks that everyone honor Jeffrey by wearing a colorful outfit. Donations in Jeffrey's memory may be given to the funeral home to help defray costs. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
