Jerry Lee Shawler, 77, of Troy, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Shelby County, Ohio on June 21, 1936 to the late Kenneth Shawler and Mary (Frazier) Hill. He was married to Karen Kohnen, and she preceded him in death.

Jerry is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, John Shawler of Tempe Terrace, FL, Carl and Lisa Shawler of Mechanicsville, VA, Jay Shawler of Vandalia, Larry Shawler of Loves Park, IL, Jan and Donna Shawler of Lansdale, PA; two brothers, Marion and Jean Shawler of Fairborn, Donald and Pat Shawler of Union; one sister, May Jane Adams of Lakeland, FL; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Jerry was a member of the Catholic Faith. He was a 1955 graduate of Fairlawn High School in Sidney. He was a member of the Troy Fish and Game, Troy Eagles #971, Moose Lodge of Troy, and the Redmen Lodge # 222 of Troy. He was retired from Hobart Cabinet in Troy and previously worked for Buckeye Boiler in Dayton and Ohio Aviation in Vandalia.

A Graveside Service will be held 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Plattsville Cemetery in Plattsville, Ohio. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
