Jessica Lynn Staten, age 32, of Troy passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Sion Medical Center in Beavercreek, OH. She was born on June 9, 1988 in Troy to Jody Staten of Troy.

She is preceded in death by her grandpa, Dave Iddings; grandma, Mary Bryant; and uncle, Jake Staten.

In addition to her mother, Jessica is survived by her father, Michael Bryant of Troy; children, Morgan Thompson and Mason Staten; sisters, Christie Bryant, Bridget Staten and Chelsea Halcomb, all of Troy; grandmas, Joann Staten Howard and Cheryl Iddings, both of Troy; grandpa, Roy Staten of Troy; uncles, Geno Staten, Denver Staten and Lee Bryant, all of Troy; aunt, Carol Bryant of Troy; nephew, Landen Brown; and many cousins and friends.

Jessica graduated from Upper Valley Career Center in Piqua, OH where she received her LPN license. She worked as a nurse for many nursing homes around the Miami County area. She enjoyed going to church and attended Upper Room Worship Center in Tipp City, OH and Piqua Pentecostal Church. Jessica enjoyed living her life and creating memories with the people she loved. She loved painting, music, karaoke, spending time with her family and friends, going to the lake, and being outdoors. Most importantly, Jessica enjoyed nothing more than being with her children and being a mom.

A funeral service will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Gary Wagner officiating.
