Jo Ann Svajda, age 69 of Troy, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at her residence. She was born March 17, 1954 in Troy to the late Lawrence and Donna (Snodgrass) Svajda.

Along with her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Lee Fitch.

Those left to cherish Jo Ann's memory include her son Matt Svajda and his fiancé Michelle Phelps of Tipp City; granddaughter Amara Svajda of Indiana; brother Larry (Debbie) Svajda of Troy; sister Cindy King of Dayton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other good friends and family.

Jo Ann attended Freewill Baptist Church in Troy and was a 1972 graduate of Troy High School. She retired with Captor Corporation in Tipp City, having worked for many years as a QC Inspector. After retirement, Jo Ann spent her time crafting and enjoyed making her own jewelry.
