Joan Marie Trader, age 81, of Troy, passed away Saturday April 27, 2024 at Koester Pavilion in Troy. She was born October 27, 1942, to the late Samuel and Esther (Pearson) Patterson.

As well as her parents, Joan was predeceased by her brother, Paul Patterson, her daughter Dixie Little, her grandson Noah, and her great grandson Logan.

Those left to cherish Joan's memory include her son, David (Amy) Trader of Pleasant Hill, OH, her daughters Ellen Trader of Covington, OH, and Carol (Rodney) Gray of Kentucky, her sister Pam Futral of Texas as well as 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was a high school graduate and worked as a presser for Sunset Cleaners in Troy. Joan enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune every day, doing crossword puzzles as well as making craft projects.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Dale Christian officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy as she will be buried with her deceased daughter Dixie.
