Joanne Carol Baker, age 93 of Troy, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Vancrest of Troy. She was born January 29, 1933 in Dayton to the late Ralph and Mary Haag.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Baker in 1999, as well as son Charles Shutt and grandson Franklin Jones, III.

Those left to cherish Joanne’s memory include her children Ralph Shutt of Maryland, Julie Shutt of Troy, David Shutt of New York, Scott Shutt of Dayton, James Shutt of Cincinnati, and Alma Shutt of Troy; as well as 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

The family wishes to thank nurse Joanna Shaw at Vancrest and hospice nurses Jessica and Hope for their care and compassion.
