John B. "Jack" Busse age 84 of Troy, passed away March 31, 2016. He was born in Fort Loramie on March 26, 1932 to Bernard and Teresa (Frantz) Busse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Teresa Busse of Fort Loramie, and his sister Ruth Geise of McKinny, Texas. He is survived by his three sons, Daniel Busse of Kettering, Richard (Carla) Busse of Piqua, and Ronald Busse of Troy. Additionally, Mr. Busse has five grandchildren, Angela, Laura, David, Taylor, and Claire. He has four great grandchildren.

Mr. Busse owned and operated Jack Busse's Meat Market in Troy for 25 years. He was an avid sports enthusiast and coached local baseball and basketball teams for many years. He was the first coach of the Troy American Legion Baseball Team and assistant coach for seven years for the Troy High School Baseball Team as well as the Sidney American Legion baseball program.

Mr. Busse was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Troy American Legion Post #43, Troy Fish and Game, Kettering VFW and he was a lifetime member of the Korean Veteran's Association of Piqua. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 409 E. Main St. Troy with Rev. Fr. James Duell, Celebrant officiating. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2PM-4PM at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home 1124 W. Main St. Troy. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Fort Loramie with a Military Service by the Fort Loramie American Legion Firing Squad. Contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #43 of Troy or the VFW Post #5436 of Troy in his memory.
