John Orville Jenkins, age 77 of Troy, passed away 6:25PM Monday, November 11, 2024 at Koester Pavilion, Troy, He was born May 8, 1947 in Troy to Robert and Jacqueline (Thompson) Jenkins.

John was preceded in death by his father Robert Jenkins, infant sister Robin Marie Jenkins, and nephew Steven Adkins.

Those left to cherish John's memory include his mother Jacqueline Jenkins of Troy; sister Patricia (Kevin) Adkins of Troy; brother Robert Jenkins, II of Cypress, TX; as well as nephews Michael Adkins of Rio Rancho, NM and Matthew Adkins of Cincinnati.

John spent much of his time at Hecht's Landing in Celina and worked many years as a detailer for Kern's Chevrolet in Celina. He enjoyed fishing at Grand Lake St. Mary's when he was there.

A memorial service will be held 12:00PM Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Troy Baptist Fellowship Hall 691 E. Staunton Rd, Troy with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00AM-12:00PM prior to the service. Friends and family may gather for a meal at the hall following the service. Private interment will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be given to DayCity Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
