John E. Studebaker, 56, of Troy, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Troy on June 9, 1958 to the late Wilbur Eugene and Ruth (Epler) Studebaker.

John is survived by two brothers, David A. Studebaker of Troy, Robert Studebaker of Troy; one sister, Ruthanne Armstrong of Nashville, TN; two nieces, Jennifer (Scott) Sharits of Troy, Jessica Studebaker of Piqua; and five nephews, John (Tricia) Studebaker of Troy, Tim (Pam) Armstrong of Nashville, TN, Scott Armstrong of Nashville, TN, Josh (Brooke) Studebaker of Troy, and Jacob (Jennifer) Studebaker of Piqua. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Studebaker.

John was a member of the former Lutheran Church in Casstown. He was a graduate of Miami East Schools. For his hobbies, he loved animals, coin collecting, comics, Star Wars, Star Trek, comedy, photography, golfing, and he coached Peewee and Little League Baseball. He was formerly employed by Chemlawn in Houston, Texas and then the Troy Country Club at the present time. He was a quiet, gentle person who kept to himself.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Troy Country Club. Interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Studebaker Family Cemetery, 5700 Studebaker Rd., Tipp City, Ohio.
