Joseph William Long, age 79 of Lakeview and formerly of Troy, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his residence. He was born February 6, 1942 in Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Pearl (nee Young) Long.

He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Long; son in law Jeff Venturino; and granddaughters Sara and Cindy Staten.

Those left to cherish Joseph's memory include his daughters Brenda Venturino of Troy and Leslie Anderson (Gary) of Sidney; son Mark Long (Lisa) of Lexington, KY; ten grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Joseph served in the Army National Guard for many years and worked as a machinist for the former AM Graphics (now Spectrum Printing and Design) in Dayton. He enjoyed bow hunting in his younger days as well as fishing and collecting coins. Joseph's family will remember him for his unique sense of humor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date
