Judy Cooper age 70 of West Milton, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, Troy. She was born January 9, 1956 in Dayton and raised by her parents Charles Stafford and Joanna (Humphrey) Stafford.

Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband Elisha Cooper, Jr. on November 25, 2025. They were married 52 years.

Those left to cherish Judy’s memory include her sons Josh Cooper (Kelly) of Ludlow Falls and Elisha Cooper, III (Kristina) of Ludlow Falls; daughter Maggie Mason (Brian) of Roscommon, MI; grandchildren Darion Dodson, Emma Shellenberger, Lunden Mason, and Ellie Cooper; great grandson Noah Dodson and great granddaughter Sophia Shellenberger; and her siblings Joni Hallforth-Stafford of Kentucky, Charles Stafford of Miamisburg, and Charla Morrison-Stafford of Ft. Worth, TX.

Judy founded the catering business Cooper’s Farm in Ludlow Falls in 1991, working alongside her husband, Elisha. Judy and Elisha worked hand in hand, not only in business but in their philanthropy- hosting numerous Democratic Party fundraisers in Miami County and in their unwavering dedication to the Miami County community, raising money for various charities and hosting annual Christmas parties for the local foster children.

Judy was the ultimate homemaker. She had a knack for making the holidays unforgettable and put soul into her decorating. Her heart was full of love for her family and she will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be 1:30PM Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Michael Calhoun officiating. Visitation will be 11:30AM-1:30PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County or the Women’s Shelter of Miami County. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
