Katherine Lucille “Katie” Montgomery, age 50 of Piqua, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Kettering Health-Main Campus. She was born July 7, 1975 in Kalamazoo, MI to William Wayne Montgomery and Marabeth (Beckman) Ketrow.

Katie was preceded in death by her father William Wayne Montgomery.

Those left to cherish Katie’s memory include her children Camren Adkins of Piqua and Casey Deaton of Piqua; her mother Marabeth Ketrow (Orlan) of Tipp City; and brother Isaac Montgomery (Christine) of Mason. She was also cherished “granny” to her granddaughter Charlie. Katie also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Katie was a 1993 graduate of Troy High School and was a waitress for over 30 years at the former Pearson House in West Milton. Katie was a people person and family focused. She had a beautiful, lovely soul who will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00PM Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
