Kathleen Morris went home to be with her Lord at 12:27am on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at her son's residence in Christiansburg, OH.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Melvin Morris, her parents Adam Fissell and Loma Alice Hanes, and her sons Cole Morris and Curtis Morris. She is also the last surviving of eight brothers and sisters.

Those remaining who cherish her memory are her sons Lloyd Morris, Columbus, OH, Nathan (Linda) Morris, Christiansburg, OH, Kevin (Debbie) Morris, Lima, OH, (Curtis) Sandy Morris, Litiz, PA, and her daughter Laura Cunningham of Hudson, FL, as well as her grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Nathan, Aaron, Naomi, Chad, Matt, Aaron, Tyler, Madison, TroiLynn and Logan. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Kathleen graduated from Spencerville High School, Spencerville, OH and grew up living and working on her family farm. When she and Melvin moved to Texas, Kathleen worked as a water aerobics instructor. She taught Sunday school for many years, guiding and nurturing children through her teachings. Kathleen was a devout Christian serving her Lord with mission work and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever she went, while always helping others. She was the heart of her family, and a prayer warrior for anyone in need. She touched every life she came in contact with, and those who knew her were blessed. She was very humble and selfless in everything she did, truly emulating the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31.

A celebration of life for both Kathleen and her husband Melvin will be held 11:30am Friday, July 14, 2023 at Troy Baptist Church with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30am -11:30am prior to the service. Both Melvin and Kathleen will be interred at Dayton National Cemetery following the service.
