Kenneth Ray Coon, Jr., 59, of Troy, passed away 1:45 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Troy Center. He was born in Troy on April 27, 1954 to Kenneth Ray Coon, Sr. and Juanita Louise (Bumgardner) Millbourn. He was preceded in death by his father, and his mother survives. He was married to Susan K. Romick on February 6, 1993, and she survives.

Kenneth is also survived by one son, Aaron R. Coon of Troy; two daughters and son-in-law, Abigail Coon of Troy, Amy and Brian Case of Bradford; two sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Steve Thomas of Troy, Cindy Dull of Milwaukee, WI; and three grandchildren, Bailey Case, Connor Case, and Nolan Case. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Coon.

Kenneth attended First Presbyterian Church, Troy. He was a 1972 graduate of Greenville High School and had received a basketball scholarship to University of Dayton, but was unable to fulfill because of injuries. He was an avid sports fan of University of Dayton and Ohio State University.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, Troy with Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating. Friends and family may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, Troy one hour prior to the service. Contributions may be given in Kenneth's memory to Hospice of Miami Co., P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
