Lance Edward Ford, age 32 of Columbus, and formerly of Troy passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was born March 17, 1992 in Piqua to Louis Lane, III of Xenia and Jill Ford of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Louis Lane, Jr. and Glenda Lane, as well as maternal grandfather James Ford, Jr.

Along with his parents, Lance is survived by his siblings Elizabeth Ford of Columbus, Brian Ford of San Antonio, TX, Brandon (Laura) Ford of Canal Winchester, Erica Lane of North Carolina, Kendra Lane of Xenia, De'andre Lane of Xenia, Ciera Lane of Xenia, Devon Lane of Xenia, and De'Jah Johnson of Xenia; maternal grandmother Joyce Ford of Troy; aunts and uncles Teresa Dunbar of Xenia, Jimmy Ford of Troy, Kim (Alando) Barnett of Troy, and Mark Ford of Troy; as well and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces, including Isaiah, Zion, Miles, London, Josiah, Julius, La'Niah, Lennox, De'andre, Jr. and Javon.

Lance had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He was a hard-working man and a fierce protector for his friends and family. He cherished them all.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. James Community Church, Troy with Pastor Vickie Evans officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM prior to the service at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
