Linda Ruth Knife, age 87 of Tipp City, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was born July 9, 1938 in Troy to the late Glenn Buirley and Myra (Colville) Buirley.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Dale Knife, Sr. on August 10, 2017 and daughter in law Kimberly Jane Knife on September 6, 2021; as well as seven brothers and brother-in-law Hugh Jordan.

Those left to cherish Linda’s memory include her sons Dale Knife, Jr. of Tuscan, AZ, Raymond Knife of Troy, and Carl Knife of Story, WY; sisters Helen Ash of Piqua and Sally Jordan of Piqua; as well as 4 cherished grandchildren.

Linda was a 1956 graduate of Miami Central High School and was a retired cook.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor James Fulton officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
