Obituary

Lois Oehrtman Weaver, 91, of Troy, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014. She was born on May 7, 1922 to the late Sophia (Grote) and Albert Oehrtman in Greenville, Ohio. She was united in marriage March 7, 1967 to Marvin Weaver of Troy, and he survives.

Lois is also survived by her son, Michael Bennett of Toledo; her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Ross Pritchard of the Bahamas; her sisters and brother-in-law, Eileen Shoemaker of Miamisburg, Marlene and John Freund of Van Wert; step-sons and daughter-in-law, Gary Weaver of Englewood, Mike and Pam Weaver of Troy; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Steve Laughman, Joan and Bob Vanchure, both of Burlington, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Gerald, Melvin, William "Bill", and two brothers who died as young children; one sister, Evelyn Spencer; and one grandson, Ian Michael Pritchard.

Lois was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church of Greenville and was a member of First United Church of Christ of Troy. She was retired from Hobart Bros. in Troy after 20 years of service, had volunteered at Stouder Hospital, was a member of Troy Senior Citizens Center, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 43 of Troy.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at First United Church of Christ, Troy with Rev. Lauren Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Contributions may be given to the First United Church of Christ, Troy in her memory. Arrangements are entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
