Lori Annette Harger, 52 of Troy, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at her home. She was born January 12, 1962, in Troy, Ohio, to Jason DeWitt and June Constance (Carnes) Harger. She attended Troy public schools and graduated from Troy High School in 1980. She was employed as a pharmacy technician at several different pharmacies over the years (K-Mart, Meijer, Clark's, and Wal-Mart).
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lori is survived by eight brothers and eight sisters - Douglas, Candace, Rhonda, Robyn, Mark, Angela, Thomas, Jonathan, Darla, and Leah Harger and Lydia (Julio) Harger Herrera all of Troy, Ohio; Tamala Black of Trotwood, Ohio; Matthew Harger of West Chester, Ohio; Phillip (Marites) Harger of Riverside, Ohio; Andrew Harger of Marietta, GA; and Paul Timothy (Clarissa) Harger of Grand Prairie, TX. She is also survived by two nephews, Samuel David Herrera of Troy, Ohio, and Kristopher Alexander Lavalais, of Grand Prairie, TX.
Lori loved to take pictures and could be counted on to capture memorable moments for others to enjoy. She was called upon to take pictures at weddings, graduations, and other special occasions. She was always helping others and will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 with Pastor Charles Carnes officiating. Friends and family may call on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Lori's memory to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
