Marlene June Boggs, 81, of Troy passed away at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Covington Care Center.  She was born August 1, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Gale Alfred and Miriam Eloise (Bittner) Boes.  She was married January 17, 1953 to Jack Solomon Boggs who preceded her in death March 23, 2010.

Marlene is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Dean and Connie Saul of Piqua; two grandsons David (Heather) Boggs and Daniel Saul; one brother Richard Allen Boes of Xenia; and one half-brother Gail Boes, Jr. of Beavercreek. One daughter Debra Lynne Boggs preceded her in death September 8, 1954.

She was employed by M&R Drugs in the cosmetic department.  Marlene formerly attended Troy Baptist Temple and the Troy Senior Citizens.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Dale Christian officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Tuesday, September 29, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
