Marta Amalia Molina Sylvester, age 80 of Troy, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born July 30, 1945 in El Paso, TX to the late Frank Molina, Sr. and Maria Elena (Santana) Molina.

Marta was preceded in death by her brother Frank Molina, Jr.

Those left to cherish Marta's memory include her loving husband Steven Sylvester of Troy; children John David Reynolds (Julian Barga) of Oakland, CA, Karen Elena McCreary of Cincinnati, and Julie Anna May (Greg) of Xenia; grandchildren Ashley Elena Budde, Meagan Branscomb, Phillip Young, Christopher Young, Paul McCreary, and Christian Ventura, and 9 great grandchildren; as well as her ex-husband Butch Reynolds of Piqua.

Marta retired from the nursing/healthcare field. She had a creative spirit and spread love with her crafts and crocheting gifts for her family. Marta had a joyful presence and her heart was full of love for everyone she encountered. She will be remembered and missed for her wisdom, wit and friendliness and her warm and generous nature.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
