Martha J. Couch, age 74, of Tipp City, passed away 4:30 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013 at SpringMeade HealthCenter in Tipp City. She was born December, 30, 1938 in Whitesville, West Virginia to the late Christy and Della (Vault) Gee. She was married to Verlin Couch on August 18, 1971, and he survives.

Martha is also survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Terrie Lynn Howard of Moraine, Tammy Kay and John Smith of Piqua; five grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Arthur Dorsey of Tipp City, and Evelyn Martz of Sidney. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Dishong who passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013; three brothers, Jerry Lee, Marion, and Christy Gee; and one sister, who died in infancy.

Martha was a member of the Tipp City Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School and attended two years of college. She was a retired secretary from PMI in Troy and General Motors in Dayton.

A funeral service will be held in conjunction with the memorial service of her son, Dennis 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Bob Vincent officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.
