(Campion) Arnold
October 6, 1922 – February 7, 2016
Mary Jane Campion Arnold, age 93 of Troy, passed away February 7, 2016. She was born October 6, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Walter and Naomi (Souders) Campion.
She leaves behind her loving family which include three sons and daughters-in-law T. Michael and Jeanne Arnold of Pawley's Island, South Carolina, Eric B. and Candy Arnold of Waynesville and Mark and Julie Arnold of Nerstrand, Minnesota; as well as two daughters and sons-in-law Rebecca (Arnold) and Patrick Konkol of Troy and Kathleen (Arnold) and Jim Verhotz of Piqua. She was a wonderful grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mary Jane in death is her beloved husband of 39 years Robert W. Arnold, who passed away April 23, 1981, as well as son John Steven Arnold. She also lost her two sisters: Janet Shuler and Naomi Shanesy, both of Troy.
She loved music and the outdoors and volunteered many hours to Brukner Nature Center and Troy's Democratic Party. Mary Jane remained a lifelong, faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Troy. She worked at the Nearly New Exchange and St. Patrick's Food Kitchen for many years. She lived her life in the service of others and dedication to her family, her church and her community.
A funeral service will be held 1PM Saturday February 13, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Troy with The Rev. Joan Smoke officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Contributions in Mary Janes's honor may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church: 60 S. Dorset Rd, Troy, OH 45373 or St. Patrick's Soup Kitchen: 409 E Main St, Troy, OH 45373. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
