Mary Ann Claypool Watren, age 55 of Troy, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born October 29, 1966 in Troy to the late Thomas and Marcy (Courtney) Claypool.

She was preceded in death by her brother Tom Johnson and paternal grandmother Elizabeth Palmer.

Those left to cherish Mary's memory include her husband Patterson "Pat" Watren, whom she married September 14, 2013; her children Manda Slinker and Derek Detrick; grandchildren Leo and Peyton; sister Susan Kozuszek (Paul) and brother Jeff Park (Brian); and nephew Steven Barnes.

Mary was passionate about her hometown of Troy and was the administrator to the website You Know You're From Troy When…. She loved to cook and worked as a line cook for over eight years at the former Ording's Party Time and Catering in Troy. Mary loved visiting the ocean. She was a people person and didn't know a stranger.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
