Maxwell Eric May, age 96 of Dallas, GA, formerly of Troy, OH and Port Charlotte, FL passed away on January 4, 2019 at the Kimberly Personal Care Center in Dallas, GA. He was born March 10, 1922 in Saint Ann's, Jamaica to the late Reginald and Blanche May,

Maxwell is survived by his three sons: Lennon May (Virginia ) of Troy, OH; Maxwell "Allan" May (Ann) of Troy, OH, Dwaine Erich May ( Penny ) of Huber Heights, OH; two daughters: Carmen Foston of Suisun City, CA and Delores L. Brock (Ted) of Dallas, GA; 12 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; and a sister Ruby Sinclair-Scott of New York City, NY; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son Howard May and his sister Daisy Rainford. Maxwell was 24 years old when he became a resident of Troy, OH. until retiring to Florida

in 1988. He retired from the former Stouder Hospital in Troy where he worked as Laundryman.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Friday, January 11,2019 at the Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home in Troy with Elder Bryan O. Wilson, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30AM-11:30AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial donations may be given to the Lincoln Community Center, 110 Ash St. Troy, OH 45373.
