Michael "Lynn" Hornsby, age 74 of Troy, OH passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at Koester Pavilion, Troy, OH. He was born February 28, 1950 in Natchez, MS to the late Oliver and Mary Jane (Smith) Hornsby.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers Rusty (Nida) Hornsby and Pat Hornsby; as well as sister Margaret Nell "Sis" O'Neal.

Those left to cherish Lynn's memory include his daughters Emily (Bob) Davis of Dallas, TX and Layla Ochoa of Beaumont, TX; granddaughter Magnolia Davis; sisters Mary Jane (Bo) Morgan of Hattiesburg, MS and Janiver Couture of Leeds, AL; and brother Jeff (Pam)Hornsby of Los Angeles, CA, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Lynn received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Southern Mississippi and worked in the service industry for many years. He was a skilled guitarist and musician who had a love for gardening and computers. Most of all, Lynn cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held later in Natchez, MS. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
