Michael R. Mathis, age 71 of Troy, passed away at 11:25 A.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born on March 7, 1944 in Evanston, Illinois to the late Raleigh Jr. and Linda (Marshall) Mathis.

He  married Susan (Williams) Mathis on May 24, 1984 and she survives of Troy.

Michael is also survived by daughter Deborah Mathis of Chicago,IL., cousin Janet Cole Alexander Davis (James) of Evanston, IL.,  half-brothers Alan Mathis of Chicago, IL., Blair Mathis of Chicago, IL.

He served  his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was retired as a Maintenance Mechanic at a nursing facility in Evanston,IL.
