Mildred Charlene Taylor, 69, of Troy, passed away 12:43 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Heartland of Piqua. She was born in Piqua on March 24, 1944 to the late Harry and Dorothy (Taylor) Jones. She was raised by her Aunt Mildred and Uncle George Ewing who are also deceased.

Mildred is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Charles M. and Vivian Williams of Troy; her goddaughter, Belinda Webster of Piqua; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her dear friend, Jim Criner, and her Uncle Charles "Bus" Taylor.

Mildred was a 1964 graduate of Troy High School. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy after several years of service.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Vickie Evans officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
