Myron E. Bowers, 88, of Troy, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Spring Meade Health Center, Tipp City.  He was born in Fidelity, Ohio on August 31, 1925, to the late Horace Arthur and Alma Marie Hartley Bowers.  He was married on February 28, 1948 to Esther May Pullins who survives.

Myron was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold L. Bowers, Lester E. Bowers, Junior Bowers, and Raymond E. Bowers.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel E. Bowers of Eaton; Gail E. and Teresa Bowers of Troy; and one grandson, Nathan.

Myron retired from Hobart Corporation on February 29, 1988, after 35 years of service.  He was a member of  Brandt Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of Franklin Lodge #14 F&A.M. of Troy and the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Fisher Cheney Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. David Jarvis-Schroeder and Dave Potter officiating.  Interment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park, Tipp City, with a military service by the Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.  A service by the Masonic Lodge of Troy will be held at 6:30 p.m. with a Scottish Rite Ring Service to follow.  Contributions may be made in memory of Myron to Brandt Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6870 U.S. Route 40, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
