Nolan Carpenter Harmon, 79, of Troy, passed away 10:49 a.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on July 26, 1934 to the late Eth Elbert and Lorene (Carpenter) Harmon.

Nolan is survived by five cousins, Roy T. Newman of Tipp City, Roger and Beatrice Newman of Troy, John T. Newman of Vandalia, Brenda and Ron May of Troy, and Barbara Thornton of Enon.

Nolan was an Army Veteran during peacetime. He was retired from the Orr Felt Company, Piqua.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Riverside Cemetery, Troy with Pastor Linda Spicer officiating. A military service performed by the Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy will follow.
