Norman D. Shook, 59, of Troy, passed away 1:58 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Troy on April 5, 1954 to the late Bernard and Betty (Hill) Shook. He was married to Rebecca Wyan, and she preceded him in death in 2008.
Norman is survived by five sons and daughter-in-law, Sean and Cindy Wyan of Sidney, Marty Montjoy of Conover, Tyler Shook of Troy, Jonathan Shook of Covington, Spencer Shook of Urbana; two daughters, Jocelyn Bell of LaPorte, IN, Whitney Shook of St. Paris; one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Vicki Shook of Piqua; one sister, Becky of Indiana; and fifteen grandchildren.
Norman was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – the Piqua Ward. He was a 1972 graduate of Graham High School at St. Paris. He was a retired member of the Christiansburg Fire Department. He was employed at ITW in Troy for 30 years, and later worked as receiving clerk for Wal-Mart in Piqua.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with the Bishop from the Piqua Ward officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown.
