Patricia L. Rife, age 89 of Troy, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at her home. She was born on August 17, 1933, in Dayton, OH to the late Orla and Etoile (Robins) Thompson.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Rife who passed away January 23, 2022; son, Scott Stewart; two step-daughters, Diane and Susie Stansey; two sons-in-law, Kenneth Hall and Donald Stein; and siblings, Dick Thompson, Kenny Thompson, and Shirley Peck.

Those left to cherish Patricia's memory include her daughters, Belinda Hall of Troy and Deb Stein of Troy; sons, Steve Stewart of Ludlow Falls, OH, Doug Stewart of Somerset, KY, and Rob (Lisa) Stewart of Troy; sister, Elaine Boyer of Troy; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Patricia attended Troy Schools and belonged to Troy Church of the Brethren. She worked many years as a waitress and a factory worker. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, crocheting, quilting, and gardening. Patricia also loved to help those in need. She would volunteer her time helping at St. Patrick's soup kitchen in Troy, Hospice of Miami County, Troy Church of the Brethren, and Lunch Buddies. She also enjoyed making self-made items, like blankets and quilts, for children and people in need and also for soldiers overseas.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, OH 45373. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
