Patricia Jane "Patty" Zimmerman, age 77 of Troy, passed away 9:41PM Friday, November 15, 2024 at Grandview Hospital, Dayton. She was born October 6, 1947 in Troy to the late Wilmer and Dorothy (Sprecher) Leiss.

Along with her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, John Giambri.

Those left to cherish Patty's memory include her husband Richard "Dick" Zimmerman, whom she married November 3, 1990; her children Michael (Christal) Giambri of Troy and Roxanna Giambri of Columbus; stepchildren Sherry Evans of Troy, Dale Zimmerman of Piqua, and Clarence Zimmerman of Dayton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; as well as her sister Nancy (David) Imler of Cliff, NM.

Patty was a 1965 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. In her spare time, she enjoyed her trips to the casino, reading, and frequenting the Troy Elks with her husband, Dick. She retired from the Troy Police Department where she served for over 25 years as a clerk.

A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Jason Egbert officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00AM-1:00PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County or a charity of one's choice.
