Paul Albert Lanzotti of Troy, age 92, passed away at 3:32 AM Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Greenville, Ohio.
Paul was born in The Bronx Borough of New York on March 17, 1932. He graduated from the Manhattan School of Aviation in 1950. Following graduation, Paul (known as "Skip" to his best friends and family) joined the United States Air Force and worked as a flight simulation mechanic in Alaska during the Korean War. Paul also played baseball while in the Air Force. After his miliary service, his career was spent working at Stillwater Technologies as a Mechanical Engineer.
After retirement, Paul loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed traveling in the mountains. He was known for his sense of humor and loved singing, dancing, and classic movies. One of his favorite quotes was, "It's not the number of years you live, but how you live your years." He will be missed and loved forever.
Those left to cherish Paul's memory include his 4 daughters: Anna (Terry) Venrick of Greenville, OH; Leslie (Scott) Solomon of Ft. Worth, TX; Mary (Dana) Lanzotti of Piqua, OH; and Catherine (Scott) Lanzotti of Apex, NC.
Paul also leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Ali, Paul, Amir, Elisabeth, Danny, Sarah, and Maximilian; and 3 great grandchildren: Channon, Dalan, and Thomas.
