Phillip Christopher "Chris" Long, age 54 of Troy, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Kettering Health Care in Kettering, OH. He was born on February 15, 1967 in Dayton, OH to Roger and Georgene (nee Powell) Long of Casstown, OH.

Chris is preceded in death by his sister Cassondra "Candy" Long, who passed away on July 8, 2016.

Along with his parents, those left to cherish Chris's memory include his son Justin Long of Vermont and daughter Margo Long of Troy.

He graduated from Miami East High School in 1985. Chris was very passionate about his job, he worked as a district representative for Papa Johns in Ohio for 10 years. He was an Eagle Scout and a handyman; he could fix anything. He also belonged to Ginghamsburg Church where he loved volunteering every week at the Avenue, working the blowout event for 6th graders in the early 2000's.

A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
