Phillip Lee Jones, age 88 of Troy, passed away 2:47AM Monday, October 2, 2023. He was born January 5, 1935 in Elizabeth Township, OH to the late Ashford Raymond and Helen (Olds) Jones.

Phillip was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Irene Landes Weater, as well as two brothers Robert and Donald Jones; and stepdaughter Jane Laughman.

Those left to cherish Phillip's memory include his two sons: Brian (Robin) Jones of Brookville and Kelly Jones of West Milton; daughter Gina (Brian) Miller of Covington; two stepsons: Gary (Candy) Weaver of Dayton and Mike (Pam) Weaver of Troy; stepdaughter Joann (Bob) Vanchure of Burlington, KY; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and sister Joyce (Larry) Ratcliff of Tipp City.

Phillip was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School and a member of the First United Church of Christ in Troy. He retired with A.O. Smith in Tipp City as a project engineer. Phillip was a member of Troy Fish & Game.

A funeral service will be held 11:30AM Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Lauren Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30AM-11:30AM prior to the service. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial donations may be given to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.
