Phyllis Buirley, 84, of Shirley, Arkansas and formerly of Troy, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 in Arkansas. She was born in Troy on October 28, 1929 to the late David and Naomi (Martin) Hershey. She was married to Raymond Buirley, and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1979.

Phyllis is survived by two sisters-in-law, Helen Ash of Piqua, and Sally Jordan of Piqua.

Phyllis was a retired phone operator with the Troy-Tipp Telephone Co. in Troy.

Private services will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.
