Quada Joyce Gray, age 67 of Troy, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born October 30, 1958 in Manchester, KY to the late GC and Ruth Jackson.
Along with her parents, Quada was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Dean Gray, who passed away August 20, 2020, as well as her daughter Bridget Sizemore on April 21, 2013; and siblings Randy Jackson, Brenda Messer, Glenda Brock, and Denzel Jackson.
Those left to cherish Quada's memory include her daughter Lindsey Mitchell (Ricky Smith); grandchildren Jarred Sizemore, Courtney Sizemore, Shawna Sizemore, Destiny Smith, and Teagan Smith, great grandchildren Carter Busse, Ava Sizemore, Camden Fox, and Kaizen Carr; sister Sylvia Hubbard of Tennessee, brother Delmas Jackson of Kentucky; as well as nephew Scott Gray of Troy.
Quada was a graduate of Manchester High School in Manchester, KY and went on to receive her LPN license and dog grooming certification. Quada and her husband Gerald owned Gray's Tree Service in Troy, and she took over the business devotedly after Gerald passed away. In her spare time, Quada loved her reality TV shows and never missed Wheel of Fortune. She also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family. She was the expert at southern cuisine such as chicken and dumplings, biscuits and gravy, soup beans, and cornbread. She was the "community grandma" and her heart was dedicated to taking care and providing for her family.
A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Friday, November 7, 2025 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
