Raymond L. Favorite, 88, of Troy, passed away 1:11 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born in Troy on February 17, 1926 to the late Amos and Agnes (Shoal) Favorite. He was married to Iona Jean Avey on March 2, 1946, and she survives.

Raymond is also survived by three daughters, Sandra Favorite of Troy, Ramona Favorite of Troy, Michelle VanHorn; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Raymond was also preceded in death by one grandson, Chad; four brothers; and three sisters.

Raymond was a member of the Church of Nazarene, Troy. He was an Air Force Veteran of WWII. He was a retired Press Operator for Hobart Bros. after several years of service.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Jeff Rollison officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
