Richard Randolph "Randy" Johnston, 67, of Troy passed away 10:53 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Troy on December 12, 1946 to the late Richard E. and Dorothy (Hogan) Johnston.

Randy is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Rick Jackson of Troy; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Jill (Shields) Johnston of Maderia, OH, Mike Johnston and Kathy Papp of Crestview Hills, KY, and Mark Johnston of Troy; one sister-in-law, Becky (Maggart) Johnston of Cincinnati; four nieces, Lisa (Greg) Fallon, Kate (Lee) Tucker, Bridget (Brian) Mountjoy, Susan (Joe) Ryan; two nephews, Matt (Kate) Jackson, Chris (Tracy) Jackson; nine great-nieces; and four great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Johnston.

Randy was a 1965 graduate of Troy High School and a Xavier University graduate. He was a member of the Troy Fish and Game Club, Xavier Alumni, and the St. Marys Eagles Club. Randy enjoyed reading, he loved the outdoors, and rooting for his beloved Musketeers.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420, in his memory.
