Richard L. Monroe, age 84 of Troy, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 in the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born December 21, 1933 in Sidney to the late John and Ida (Luckey) Monroe.

Richard is survived by his wife of 64 years M. Joann (Wright) Monroe; two sons: Kevin (Babs) Monroe of Troy and Jeffrey (Carol) Monroe of Troy; two daughters: Patsy Honeycutt of Troy and Teresa (Jody) Davis of Troy; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as brother John (Vera) Monroe of Piqua. He was preceded in death by sister Catherine Cline.

Richard retired as a factory assembler from Hobart Corp in Troy.

A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Friday, August 10, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery, Troy with Paul Napier officiating. Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Miami Co. PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
