Robert Paul Gladman, age 87, formerly of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 16th at NHC North Augusta, S.C.
Born in Troy Ohio, he was the son of the late William and Charline (Denney) Gladman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sinah Klein Gladman-Mullikin, and 2nd wife Mary Margaret (Marr) Gladman.
He was a 1953 graduate of Troy High School where he was the Drum Major of THS band and attended Ohio University. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1955 and later retired as a Major 1975. He served in served in Germany, Greece, and in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam war serving his Nation. Upon his USAF retirement he moved back to Troy as the Director of the Hayner-Cultural Center and served on the Board of Trustees. He was involved in the Troy Historical Society, served as Archivist for local Historical Library, member of the Strawberry Festival Committee, Director of the River I & II (on the Levi 1980-81), Former President of the Sertoma Club, Bruckner Nature Center, Troy Civic Theater, and volunteered for many other organizations throughout his life.
He is survived by his children: (Sons) Brigadier General (RET SCNG) Eric R. Gladman (Amy) Summerville, SC, Shannon Marr (Sue) Port Clinton, OH, (Daughters) Kaaryn G. Tabone (Frank) Simpsonville, SC and Amy G Williams (Frank) Rock Hill, SC.; Son-in-law Russ Corron, OH.
Grandchildren B. Eric Tabone (Laine) NC, Andrew K. Tabone, SC and Phillip E Gladman (Lexi) SC, Emma G. Paynter (Dr. Jordan, MD), GA. Ashlyn T. Warren, VA., Kathryn E. Tabone SC, Megan N. Rodgers-Williams (Blade Blackmon) SC and Kristen W. Comer (Will) SC and 13 great grandchildren. As well as a niece, nephews, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Beverly G. Beebe and Patricia G. Jackson and daughter Katherine Marr Corron.

Bob's family would like for you to go to K's Hamburger Shop, 117 E. Main, Troy, Ohio and buy a "Bob's Special" in his memory. That would be a Cheeseburger, French fries, and a malt. Open 8:00AM. to 4:00PM.
A funeral service will be held 1:00PM Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Riverside Cemetery Chapel, Troy with Pastor Derrick Rash officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00PM-1:00PM at the chapel. Military honors will take place at the chapel by the Veteran's Memorial Honor Guard of Troy. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
