Ronald "Ron" L. Rowe, 77, of Troy, passed away 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Dayton on August 30, 1937 to the late Walter and Loretta Rowe. He was married to Etta Anderson on April 16, 1988, and she survives.

Ron is also survived by six sons and daughters and their spouses, Rhonda Story of Wilmington, Brenda and Brian Shade of Hillsboro, Rick and Cinnamon Rowe of Janeville, WI, Wayne Jones of Houston, TX, Hope and Bruce Jennings of Troy, Scott Jones of Jackson, MI; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Dottie Rowe of New Carlisle, Denny and Lois Rowe of Hillsboro, Bobby and Sue Rowe of Brookville, and Gary and Robin Rowe of Florida.

Ron was a Veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of AMVETS Post # 88 in Troy, VFW Post # 5436 in Troy, American Legion Post in New Carlisle, Troy Fish and Game Club, Troy Eagles # 971 and a member of the AMVETS Golf League for several years. He was retired from General Motors in Dayton in 1992 after 30 years of service. For his hobbies, he loved to play golf and play pool.

A memorial service with visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with a Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy service to follow. Contributions may be given in Ron's memory to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, Ohio 45373.
