Roy C. Brown, Jr., 73, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly 7:15 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Troy on July 5, 1940 to the late Roy C., Sr. and Audrey (Lauber) Brown.

Roy is survived by his wife, Treva "Sue" (Hunt) Brown of Troy; one son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Lora Brown of Westerville; one daughter and son-in-law, Daina and Scott Levine of Centerville; four grandchildren, Cody and Alexa Brown, and Jenna and Catie Levine; and three sisters, Susie Gheen of Troy, Carol Jordan of Troy, and Lora Gingham of Troy. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Frederick "Bud" Brown.

Roy was a 1958 graduate of Troy High School. He retired from B.F. Goodrich in Troy after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid gardener.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Lauren Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
