Ruth Ann Jeffryes, 90, of Troy passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Vancrest Upper Valley Health Care Center. She was born January 29, 1935 in Piqua to the late Harry and Leona Martin.

Ruth married James Jeffryes on July 19, 1958. They were married 59 years until the passing of James in 2017. Surviving Ruth are her two sons and daughters-in-law, Jai and Jan Jeffryes of New York, and Lee and Yuko Jeffryes of New Jersey.

Ruth graduated from Piqua High School in 1953 and Edison State Community College in 1982. She was a graphic artist, a model, a senior care activities coordinator, a volunteer at the Troy History Room, a homemaker, and mother. She enjoyed genealogy, knitting, gardening, drawing and calligraphy, and ice skating. Ruth was a lifelong member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Troy. She will be missed.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. John’s United Church of Christ with Rev. Gary Eubank officiating with a reception in the Church basement following the memorial service. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. St. John’s United Church of Christ will be grateful to receive contributions in the memory of Ruth.
