Samuel C. Milligan, Jr., 56, of Casstown, passed away 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Piqua on December 3, 1957 to the late Samuel C. and Mary (Gibson) Milligan, Sr. He was married to Barbara J. Long on May 28, 1983, and she survives.

Samuel is also survived by three sons; Tracy Saunders of Troy, Samuel C. Milligan, III and companion Sharon of St. Paris, Willis Milligan and companion Selena of Huntsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Tom Schwierking of Christiansburg, Brandy and Warren Ropp of DeGraff, Jamie and Chad Owens of St. Paris; two nephews that proudly called him Dad, Jimmy Keen of Covington, Henry Keen and companion Monica of Sidney; twenty-two grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Sue Milligan of Piqua, Charles and Barbara Milligan of Virginia; six sisters, Nancy Castle of Christiansburg, Sue Milligan and companion Gary of West Virginia, Mary Keen of Sidney, Freda Cole of Indiana, Martha Haynes of Sidney, and Alice Milligan of Cable. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, two at infancy, and Butch Milligan; and one sister, Ellen.

Samuel was a member of Troy Freewill Baptist Church in Troy. He belonged to the "Family" Cruisers Car Club. He was employed with Metals USA in Springfield, Ohio for over 20 years.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Troy Freewill Baptist Church, 2482 S. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, Ohio, with Pastor Dwight Stump officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church on Sunday, October 26, 2014. Interment will be in Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg.
