Sara Kay Newbright, age 81 of Lebanon, OH formerly of Troy, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Beehive Homes of Springboro. She was born on May 20, 1941 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Carl and Edna (nee Danner) Mauntel.

In addition to her parents, Sara is preceded in death by her loving husband Carl Newbright, who passed away on December 18, 2015.

Those left to cherish Sara's memory include her son, David (Cindy) Newbright of Troy; daughter, Judy (Kurt) Bally of Lebanon, OH; grandchildren, Anja and Ethan Bally; and brothers, Bill Mauntel, John (Elizabeth) Mauntel, Donald Mauntel, and Ronald Mauntel.

Sara graduated from Portsmouth High School and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from The Ohio State University. She worked most of her career as a dental hygienist for Dr. Ray Yoder's office in Troy. Sara was a part of Habitat for Humanity and Red Cross in Troy. She loved being a mother and grandmother more than anything. She also loved gardening and reading.

A celebration of Sara's life will be held at the Hayner Cultural Center in Troy, Ohio on October 2nd from 2 to 4 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Cross or the animal welfare organization of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
