Shawn Andrew Taxis, age 39 of West Milton, Ohio passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, at his home. He was born January 31, 1983, in Troy, Ohio to Patrick Taxis and Rita Moore.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Jessica (Benham) Taxis, whom he married on October 24, 2015; 5 children: Hailie-Jo Taxis, Lillie Taxis, Shawn Taxis II, Samuel Zank, and Simon Zank; brother Joshua (Lori) Taxis of Troy, sister Amy (John "Bub") Bubeck of Covington and nephews Kane Bubeck and Ryan Evans; as well as mother and stepfather, Rita and Chris Moore.

Shawn was a graduate of Troy High School and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He worked as a union welder for Local Union 798.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 2 PM at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Jon Dillon officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford.
