Shirley G. McElfresh, age 92 of Troy, passed away 4:39AM Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at her home. She was born September 13, 1931 in Kingman, OH to the late Everett and Amelia (Carr) Gordon.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Jack McElfresh; siblings Janina Moran, Wanda Carter, Bernjay Gordon, and Donnie Gordon; and great grandson Sage Denson.

Those left to cherish Shirley's memory include her sons Nick (Alice) Gwin of Troy and Mark (Susie) Gwin of Troy; daughters Janina Mertz of Troy and Sharon "Mickie" (Tyler) Nimer of Tipp City; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren; as well as sisters Ida Mobley of Wilmington and Sharon Anderson of Washington Courthouse, and her beloved dog Dolly.

Shirley retired from BF Goodrich.

The family would like to thank Hospice for their kindness and compassion especially caregivers Crystal, Brenda, and Suzette.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
